Overview
We are pleased to announce the Student Grant Program which aims to encourage students to attend the conference in person and to present their research outcomes. The awards will be used to offset (partial) cost for students’ conference registration fee. The amount awarded will depend on the number of applicants by the deadline and the total available funds.
Eligibility and Requirements (All must be satisfied)
- The applicant must be giving a presentation at MECC 2025 (which can be a conference paper, a poster, a special session, or rising star presentation).
- The registration fee covered by the student grant should not be paid through any other means.
Award Notification
The award notice will be sent out before the conference registration deadline. Students applying for the grant should hold off on their registrations until they hear back from the decision on their applications. If a student is granted a conference registration, such registration will be directly applied at the PaperCept registration site for the student. No checks or cash can be reimbursed to individual students.
Application Procedures (Application Closed)
The application opens on Thursday 6/26/2025 and closes on Tuesday 7/22/2025. To apply, students need to fill out and submit the application form and a supporting letter from the academic advisor via this google form: https://forms.gle/NHsdPXSuEs31GBCi6. The letter needs to verify (1) the student status of the applicant at the time of the submission, and (2) that the applicant will give a presentation at MECC 2025. The application form and a template of the letter can be downloaded from this link. For any questions, please contact Prof. Minghui Zheng via mhzheng@tamu.edu and Prof. Ellen Mazumdar via ychen3161@gatech.edu.
